Grenada was an interesting place to visit- for its scenery and its recent history.
It boasts lush forests, exotic plants and hilly landscapes- featuring awesome views and natural beauty. Then there is the black sand beach, whose color is attributable to volcanic particles. There are also old fortresses that present themselves for exploration.
As we toured the island, the guide explained the conflict in the 1980s which ultimately prompted President Reagan to invade the island to rescue American medical students who were studying there.
